Fuel costs

I have to make frequent trips to see clients and deliver product and I'm wondering what changes others are making in their business to cut back on fuel expenses?

Car maintenance, drive slower

Regular maintenance on your vehicle is a proven way to keep fuel costs down. Regular oil changes, new filters and proper air in your tires all help. Plus, don't burn extra gas by getting lost...so always know where you are going, and keep the extra weight in your car to a minimum, this too burns more fuel. Lastly, leave with enough time for your meeting so that you can drive at a slower speed, also a proven way to save fuel.

Embrace

The only way to avoid a glitch is to embrace it and change something that will recover your profit. I have to agree with the DR. and say that the only way this can be done is through a bio-diesel !!! What kind of vehicle do you use for transportation? Go with the times my man - go with the times!!

I am not changing a thing.

The fuel costs are a bit higher, but not enough to keep me from visiting my clients when it is needed.

I agree.

I don't want to make too many drastic changes, as the heart of my business lies within the personal contact and interaction with my clients.
